The Stroke Masterclass held on May 16th, 2025, in the beautiful city of Pokhara was a heartfelt and meaningful step toward improving stroke care in the Kaski region.

Organized by the Nepal Stroke Project in collaboration with the Nepal Stroke Association, and generously co-sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim and Magnus Pharma, the event brought together a vibrant community of healthcare professionals, united by a shared commitment to better stroke outcomes.

This Masterclass wasn’t just another training, it was an opportunity for genuine connection, learning, and inspiration. Held at Fishtail Hospital, the event created an environment that felt both intellectually stimulating and deeply personal. The atmosphere resembled that of being back in a medical school classroom, filled with curiosity, engagement, and the joy of learning something truly impactful.

The event welcomed a diverse audience of 64 participants, primarily composed of professionals involved in neuro and acute care. Attendees included neurologists, neurosurgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, medical officers and general practitioners. Their collective expertise and enthusiasm created a rich environment for learning, discussion, and collaboration.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Participants appreciated the interactive nature of the masterclass, especially the case study sessions, which provided real-world perspectives on stroke care. They also expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from expert practitioners and to discuss the challenges they face in their daily practice. Additionally, many participants stressed the value of organizing similar programs in the future to aid in further developing their skills and knowledge.
