Online Course: Stroke Care for Nurses

Online Series Nurse Group

The nurses group offers online training about stroke care on a regular basis. Last
time, in December and January, over 50 nurses participated and improved their
knowledge. We are very enthused about this interest, because at the end, we are all
doing it for our patients. Research has shown that nurses play a very important role
within the stroke team. Their level of training makes a difference for the outcome of
patients.

We are happy to inform you that we will repeat the online courses (basic and
advanced) in the summer. Thus, if you are not familiar with stroke care and want to
deepen your knowledge, you will benefit highly from participating.

The online basic course consists of two parts (each 2-3 hours), which will be held
on July 11 and 18, each day at 2 p.m. The meeting link can be found on this
website (nepalstrokeproject.org/online-course-stroke-care-for-nurses).

After participating on both days of the basic course, you will get a certificate from the
Nepal Stroke Project. This can be submitted to the Nursing Council to receive CPD
points
.

Later in the summer, the advanced courses will follow. We will inform you as soon as
the dates have been set.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you online!

Kind regards, your Nurse Team from the NSP

Successful Start of the Stroke Care for Nurses

On December 6, the Nepal Stroke Project Nurse Team, successfully delivered the first Basic Course of the Stroke Care for Nurses education series.

We were very happy and encouraged to see 55 nurses actively and interactively participating in this session. The high level of engagement, thoughtful questions, and strong interest in stroke care clearly demonstrated the importance and relevance of this topic for nursing practice. The session provided essential foundations in stroke care and created an open space for discussion, learning, and exchange of clinical experiences.

The second part of the Basic Course will take place on December 20, Dr. Andrea Kosinski will continue to build on the core knowledge introduced in the first session.

Looking ahead, an Advanced Course will be offered in January. This advanced training will also be divided into two parts and will focus on deepening clinical knowledge, nursing decision-making, and practical application in stroke care.

Further information about the upcoming courses will be shared soon.

We would like to sincerely thank all participating nurses for their motivation, curiosity, and commitment to improving stroke care. We are very much looking forward to continuing this journey together.

Kind regards,

your Nurse Team of the NSP
